Early High School students were on hand Thursday morning for Stars of Texas art demonstrations by Jimmie Hudson (water color on canvas), Robert Stacks (woodworking) and Mike Lewis (pottery). The trio of artists will be hand until 3 p.m. today at The Depot Civic and Cultural Center.
The demonstrations – sponsored by TexasBank – continue Friday, then Wednesday through Friday again next week.

In addition, the Stars of Texas Juried Art Exhibit will feature artwork from across the state and will be open for viewing by the public at the Depot Civic & Cultural Center, at no charge, during the following hours:

Saturday : 9am – 7pm
Each February the Brownwood Civic and Cultural Center hosts the annual Stars of Texas Juried Art Exhibit. This juried exhibit runs for two weeks and culminates with the presentation of over $5,000 in prizes. The Stars of Texas Juried Art Exhibit was conceived in 1999 in order to showcase the newly restored Santa Fe Depot.
