The Brownwood Lions Mother’s Club held its annual banquet to honor the 2021 football team Monday night at the Coggin Avenue Baptist Church Connection Center.
Varsity, junior varsity and freshman football players and athletic trainers were honored by the coaching staff for their contributions.
Among the highlights of the evening:
- Two $1,000 Debbie Ellis Memorial Scholarships were presented to Ethan Pesina and Brandon Still by Steve Ellis
- The Chris Hart Memorial Scholarship was presented to William O’Dell by Derrick Stacks and Dee Hart
- Quentin Thompson was named the Brownwood Lions Defensive MVP for 2021 by defensive coordinator Brett Mouser
- Ethan Pesina was selected the Brownwood Lions Offensive MVP for 2021 by offensive coordinator Andy Howard
