Despite a spirited effort, the Brownwood Lady Lions came up short in their penultimate District 6-4A volleyball match Friday at Warren Gym, falling to the Stephenville Honeybees, 25-13, 25-20, 25-18.
Offensively for the Lady Lions, Aniah Hines registered six kills trailed by Aubrie Felux and Hannah Deen with four apiece, Miranda Northcut with three, and Icess Hall and Demayha Hooker with one each.
Hall distributed 10 assists trailed by Hines with four and Felux with one.
Felux and Deen both served three aces and Laine Johnson tacked on one.
Defensively, Deen notched six digs followed by Johnson with five, Hines and Hall with four each, and Hooker, Sara Stubblefield and Maddi Scott with two piece.
At the net, Northcutt tallied three blocks, Hines and Hooker chipped in two apiece and Trinity Roberts notched one.
The Lady Lions (13-22, 0-9) conclude their season at 6 p.m. Tuesday at home against Graham, with Senior Night festivities to take place beforehand.
