EARLY – Facing the 16th-ranked team in the state in Class 4A girls basketball, the Early Lady Horns came up on the short end of a 60-20 decision against Stephenville Tuesday night.
Early trailed 21-3 after one quarter, 31-7 halftime and 40-12 through three periods.
Dana Lykes led the Lady Horns (1-4) with eight points followed by Tatum Reigle with six, Caroline Welker with four and Aubrey Greaves with two.
Stephenville (4-0) received 17 points from McClendon, along with 15 points apiece from Withers and Birdwell
The Lady Horns are back in action at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1 when Sweetwater visits.
