EARLY – The Early Lady Horns’ District 8-3A skid reached seven matches Tuesday as they suffered a 25-14, 25-21, 25-13 home loss to Comanche.
Early (8-17, 1-7) defeated Comanche in four sets in the district opener for both teams on Sept. 10, but the Lady Horns have not collected a victory since.
In Tuesday’s outing, Gabby Leal recorded six kills for Early trailed by Dakota Barksdale with three, Averey Horton and Matty Boswell with two apiece, and Jenna Hataway and Trinity Torrez with one each.
Katie Whitehead and Boswell both served two aces while Hataway, Madison Torrez and Trinity Torrez contributed one apiece.
Trinity Torrez also dished out 12 assists.
Defensively, Boswell logged three digs, Madison Torrez tallied a pair and Hataway recorded one.
The Lady Horns are back in action at noon Saturday when they host Breckenridge.
