The Brown County National Day of Prayer Observance took place at Margaret and Stuart Coleman Plaza at the Depot Center during the lunch hour Thursday, with more than 50 people in attendance.
Prayers were led by Brownwood Mayor Stephen Haynes, Early Mayor Dr. Robert Mangrum, Brown County Precinct 2 Justice of the Peace Harold Hogan and Early City Councilman Leland Acker.
Life Point Baptist Church’s Waymon Childress read scripture while Earnest Kirk provided a musical selection.
The year 2022 marks the 70th the National Day of Prayer has been observed. The theme this year is Exalt the Lord, who has established us, based on Colossians 2:6-7.
