The 19th Annual JLT Memorial Scholarship Fundraiser is scheduled for Saturday, October 8th at The FeedLot in Richland Springs, Texas.
The JLT Memorial Scholarship Fundraiser is an annual event held in memory of Joseph Lee Tharp and raises money to provide scholarships to graduating seniors at Richland Springs, San Saba, Cherokee and Zephyr High Schools. The scholarship funds also help finance continuing education for former scholarship recipients who are continuing their education. In 2022, the family was able to award $22,500 in scholarships to deserving seniors and previous recipients still in school.
The 19th annual event will feature live music, a BBQ meal, goat roping, children’s pumpkin painting and a live auction. Gates will open at noon with live music beginning at 1PM. The meal will begin at 5PM followed by the live auction. To-Go plates are available for the meal. Admission is $15 in advance and $20 at the gate the day of the event. The meal is “by donation”.
This year, we welcome 5 live bands including local acoustics acts plus Southern Rustics, Whiskey Smile, Arron Mcbee along with Country artists Will Carter, Hayden Coffman and Chris Colston headlining the show.
RV spots are available at The FeedLot and should be reserved in advance. Please call (325) 452-3040 to make your reservation.
