We are excited to announce the very first Brownwood tournament here at Coggins Park hosted by Brownwood Pickleball Club and Victory Road Pickleball!
Tournament dates: Oct 5th – Oct 8th, 2023
Registration opens through Sep 28th, 2023, by 11:55 pm.
Registration Fee: $50 plus $15 per event.

Sat, Oct 7th – Men’s Doubles and Women’s Doubles (19+,35+), Men’s & Women’s Doubles Scramble (19+,35+)

*Skill and Age bracket splits developed after registration deadline.

FORMAT
ROUND ROBIN brackets with top THREE or more seeded teams advancing to the playoff for Gold, Silver, & Bronze medals (for a non-pool event).

NON-POOL PLAY
Brackets of 3 will be DOUBLE ROUND ROBIN with each match 1 to 15 by 2.
Brackets of 4 will be ROUND ROBIN with each match best 2 of 3 games to 11 by 2.
Brackets of 5-7 will be ROUND ROBIN with each match 1 to 15 by 2.

Brackets of 4 will be ROUND ROBIN with each match best 2 of 3 games to 11 by 2.

POOL PLAY
-If an event has 8 or more teams, the event may be divided into two or more pools with the top seeded teams after round robin from each pool advancing to the shootout.
-The winning teams advance to the Gold/Silver best 2 of 3 to 11 by 2.
-Losing teams will play a Bronze match of 2 of 3 to 11 by 2.

DOUBLES SCRAMBLE
The Scramble events are events that you sign up for individually generally because you have no partner. You will pair up in doubles with everyone in your group one at a time to play against everyone in your group. Same format for Non-Pool and Pool Play above applies.

No Membership in any association is required for registration.

USSP members that become members after this tournament will receive a $10 discount off the registration fee for all 2023 future USSP Circuit Approved tournaments and are eligible for points and prizes. Go to the USSP website listed above for more information on the points system.
USSP has a points system to award prizes to the top finishers each year. In the past, prizes with a retail value of $20,000 were awarded to the top 10-point winners in each age group for both men and women on an annual cycle. In 2023, the prize points will begin in January and run through the end of December. Ther are no cash prizes!

As a friendly reminder for the USSP FREE in ’23 membership, senior players 50 years old and above (who plays this tourney and not already a member) will receive a USSP free membership code after this tournament to enter into your USSP new member’s profile.
