The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce has announced that registration for the 2020 Economic Summit is currently underway. The event will feature Agricultural Economist Dr. David Anderson as the keynote speaker.
The Summit will be held on Wednesday, February 12th at Howard Payne University’s Jackson Room in the Paul & Jane Meyer Faith & Life Leadership Center (next to Mims Auditorium) from 8:00 AM to 11 AM.
Dr. David Anderson is a Professor and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Economist in the department of Agricultural Economics at Texas A&M. His work involves the analysis of livestock market economics and policy. For the past 20 years, he has taught Agricultural Economics, Ag Policy.
Dr. Anderson will outline the current economic and agricultural trends in Texas and how trade may affect the economic future of Brown County.

Also speaking at the event will be Ray Tipton, Executive Director of the Brownwood Municipal Development District and Gina Jameson, President of the Heartland Association of Realtors. The speakers will give an in-depth look at the local and state economy regarding sales tax, employment statistics, the real estate market, current trends and more.

Breakfast will be served from 8:00 AM to 8:30 AM, with the program from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM. Cost of the Economic Summit is $15 for Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce members and $25 for nonmembers.
