Brownwood Police Blotter

Brownwood News – The Brownwood Police Department responded to the following calls since last Thursday.

On Thursday, April 16, 2020, Officers responded to the 2600 Block of Crockett Drive in reference to an assault. After speaking to the complainant, a report was generated.

On April 16, 2020, at 22:05 hours, Brownwood Officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of Campa Drive in reference to a suspicious person. This call led to the arrest of a male subject for Public Intoxication.

On 04/16/2020 Brownwood officers were dispatched to 3rd St. in reference to criminal mischief. An arrest was made and a report has been generated.

On Friday, April 17, 2020 at approximately 00:16 hours officers were dispatched to the 2500 block of Cleburne Street in reference to an unwanted person. During the investigation it was discovered an assault against a family member occurred. An arrest was made and a report was generated.

On Saturday, April 18, 2020 at approximately 20:02 hours, Officer Risdon was dispatched to the 1500 Block of Dublin regarding a burglary of a vehicle. Upon dispatch, he was informed the reporting party was told by a third party that her vehicle was broken into.

On Sunday April 19th, 2020 Officers with the Brownwood Police Department responded to a call of Criminal Mischief in the 200 block of Yale Street. A report was generated for this incident.

On Sunday April 19th, 2020 at approximately 12:00 hours, Officers with the Brownwood Police Department responded to a call in reference to a Burglary of a Vehicle in the 2400 block of 13th Street.  A report was generated for this incident.

On 04/19/2020, at approximately 20:15 hours, Brownwood Police were dispatched to a south Brownwood location on U.S. Highway 377 in reference to a reckless driving call. Upon arrival, Brownwood Police searched the area and a vehicle, matching the description of the reckless driver, was located. No Offense was observed at that time. Later that day, at approximately 21:14 hours, Brownwood Police found a reckless driver believed to be the same one reported earlier. A traffic stop was attempted on that vehicle for running a stop light. The reckless driver failed to pull over for Brownwood Police and a pursuit was initiated. The pursuit was terminated shortly after.
