Brownwood News – On May 12, 2020 the Brownwood/Brown County Health Department received 6 negative test results, 13 positive test results, and 1 confirmed death.
The 6 negative results were from community members not affiliated with the nursing home.
Of the 13 positives, 7 are residents of the nursing facility and 5 are employees. The remaining positive is a relative of a nursing home employee and is currently hospitalized. None of the COVID-19 positive residents or employees of the nursing home are hospitalized.
The nursing home facility is continuing to do mass testing on a regular basis until they have two weeks without a positive test result.
The total COVID-19 cases in Brown County is now 51.
A second mobile drive through COVID-19 testing site by the Texas National Guard will be in Brownwood on Saturday, May 16 from 10 am to 4 pm at the Coggin Intermediate School gym parking lot located at 800 Rogan Street.
