Brownwood News – The following calls were answered by the Brown County Sheriff’s Department and included in their report to media on Wednesday, April 8.
On Monday, April 6, at 14:08 hours, Deputy Jayson Bastardo and Deputy Andre Smoot were both dispatched to County Road 147 for a welfare check requested by a mother on her daughter. After further investigation, a man said he was assaulted by the daughter. A report was taken.

On April 7, Deputy Andre Smoot responded to a possible kidnapping call. Once on scene, Deputy Smoot was able to interview both parties involved and determined an assault had occurred. A report was completed to be sent for further investigation and warrant.
On April 7, at approximately 12:00 hours, Deputy M. Davis was dispatched to make phone contact with a female regarding a prior assault. A report was made.
On April 7, at approximately 19:02, Deputy Jose Rodriguez was dispatched to Dublin Drive, at an apartment, in regards to an unwanted person. A Criminal Trespass Warning was issued and a report was made.
