The Brown County Veteran Service Office and VFW Post 3278 will be sponsoring a Veteran’s Day Parade which will be held Thursday morning, Nov. 11th, at 10:00am in downtown Brownwood.
The theme of the parade is “Nation at War”. The parade route will start the coliseum traveling from Baker to Fisk, turning right, then taking a left at the Court House on S. Broadway, then it will take another left continuing down Center Avenue to Adams Street, where it will turn left traveling toward the Depot. The parade will end at the Depot area where Commander, US Navy, (Ret) Looby will be the speaker of the ceremony.
The VFW Post has will have a float in the parade. The HPU marching band will be in the parade along with a few local elementary schools that are planning to attending.
Please come out Thursday morning and honor our local Veterans by celebrating Veteran’s Day and the freedom that all Veterans have fought to help us enjoy!
