Law Enforcement arrests and reports released Tuesday, October 19, 2010.

Thursday, October 14

*3:11pm Brown County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to CR 129 regarding a case of criminal mischief.  The property owner advised that someone unknown had cut two strands of the fencing on his property and also damaged a deer blind.    The property owner did not wish to pursue charges; however wanted a report filed just in case this became a repetitive issue in the area.  Reports state that the deer blind, which is owned by a tenant of the property owner, had the legs disassembled as if someone was attempting to steal it.

Monday, October 18

*5:49pm- Brown County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a residence on CR 486 in regard to a complaint of someone shooting and pellets striking their home.  When deputies arrived, the complainant explained the direction they felt the shots were coming from.  The deputies located a residence suspected to be the source of the gunfire where they found a subject standing beside a picnic table with a shotgun laying on top of it.

The man was told why deputies were there and when running a check on him, dispatch found that he had a charge of Aggravated Fleeing a Law Enforcement Officer out of New Mexico, which was later found to be a felony charge.    Once deputies were informed by dispatch that this charge out of New Mexico was a felony, the shotgun and ammunition were seized from the suspect.  It was explained to the suspect that once deputies verify the charge from New Mexico being a felony, he could be charged with Felon in Possession of a Firearm.   No arrest was made at the time of the report pending verification.

All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
