Brownwood News – The following calls were included on the Brownwood Police Department Offense and Incident Report issued on Monday morning, September 30.
On Thursday, September 26, 2019, Officers responded to 401 W. Commerce (Walmart) in reference to a theft. Officers spoke to the reporting party and were able to locate the female suspect. Officers were able to make contact with the female suspect and a citation was issued for Class C theft.
On Friday, September 27, 2019, officers were dispatched to a local business within the 400 block of West Commerce in reference to theft. When officers arrived, three juveniles were detained in the loss prevention office, however only one juvenile had concealed items within the store and did not purchase the items. The juvenile was issued a citation for theft and the parents were notified.
While on patrol on September 27, 2019, at approximately 08:45 hours, Officers responded to the Law Enforcement Center at 1050 W. Commerce about Identity Theft. Officer met with the complainant and reviewed an incident regarding a traffic stop. A report was made for Failure to Identify, Failure to Identify- Fugitive from Justice, and Hindering Apprehension.

On Saturday, September 28, 2019, Officers responded to the 400 block of Wesley Street in reference to an abandoned vehicle that had been vandalized. After contacting the owner, the vehicle was processed and a report was generated.
On 9/27/2019 an officer was dispatched to 401 W. Commerce, Wal-Mart, for two dogs in a vehicle without the A/C running.
On Sunday, September 29, 2019 at approximately 10:00 hours, an Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of W. Commerce St. in reference to a theft. The officer arrived on scene and spoke with the complainant in regards to the incident. A report has been made.
On Sunday, September 29, 2019, Officers responded to 2800 block of Southside Drive in reference to a car that had been burglarized. After speaking to the owner of the vehicle a report was generated.
On 9/28/2019, at 17:40 hours, two officers were dispatched to 400 BLK W. Commerce St. in regards to a theft. A report was generated.
While on patrol on September 29, 2019, at approximately 16:15 hours, Officers with the Brownwood Police Department were conducting patrol when a suspect with Warrants was recognized. The suspect observed uniformed officers attempting to detain her and she evaded on foot. The suspect was captured and arrested for Evading Arrest Detention, Two Capias Pro-Fine Warrants, and a Brownwood Police Department Warrant. A report was made.
