Students started and ended the workshop singing together while being led by Dr. Chris Rosborough, HPU’s Director of Choral Music. The event activities also included the students splitting up into their voice parts and rotating throughout the day in those groups. “They were led by some amazing choir directors from Region 7, and were presented with some vocal technique classes led by Rosborough and his wife, Danielle who is also a talented musician and voice teacher,” noted Brownwood ISD Choir Director, Jennifer Reeves. “The students also worked on sight-reading procedures and the best ways to be the most prepared and calm their nerves on the day of the upcoming audition. This was a wonderful workshop for all of the students, and the ones who attended are even more prepared for the first round of All-State auditions.”
