Game Warden, Major Tracy Davis is retiring from Texas Parks & Wildlife Department after 33 years of service. Mr. Davis looks forward to fishing, quail hunting, traveling and spending time with family and friends. Tracy leaves saying “Thanks to the people of Brown County for allowing me to serve you. I am grateful for all the relationships (both personal and professional) throughout my tenure in Brownwood!”
Tracy began his career serving in Lubbock and Terry counties until he moved to Brown County in 1994 where he continued to serve as a field warden until 2007. Tracy continued his career in Brown County as Regional Lieutenant in Brownwood until Dec. 2012 when he promoted to Major Game Warden, Director of Game Warden Training Center near Hamilton and has served for the past 6 years.
Major Davis leaves with gratitude to be a vital part in statewide training and development, but states, “Through all this I’m most proud of my 20 years’ service as a field game warden.”
Tracy will settle in Comanche with wife, Jody of 31 years. They have two grown children: Drew and his wife Kayla who are expecting their first child in August and daughter Brooke and her husband Sean.
