Public Nuisance – On Tuesday, April 23, 2019, Deputy Hammonds, traveled to Lewis St. in Brownwood. This was in reference to a Public Nuisance. A report was made.
Criminal Mischief-SJF>$2500<$30,000 – On Thursday, April 25, 2019, Lt. Pete Bastardo was dispatched to CR 422. This was in regards to damage to a trailer. Contact was made with the complainant and a report was taken. A suspect has been listed
Theft of Prop >$100<$750 – On 4/26/19, at approximately 2:14 PM, Deputy Hopson, responded to Old Comanche Rd. This was for a theft report. The victim advised she would like to pursue criminal charges. The incident is still being investigated.
Public Intoxication – On April 26, 2019, Deputy Toby Mathis, responded to a report of a suspicious male near Lovers Ln., Brownwood. POTTER, LEVI was contacted at Lovers Ln., which was not his residence. POTTER seemed out of it while speaking. A field sobriety test was attempted, but was unable due to POTTER being unable to follow instructions. POTTER was placed in custody for Public Intoxication.
Public Intoxication – On April 27, 2019, at approximately 2:27 am, Deputy Jose Rodriguez, was dispatched to FM 3254 in Brownwood, Texas. This was in regards to someone attempting to break in a vehicle. The male suspect, identified as Jason Murray, did not succeed in breaking in the vehicle, but was later found walking on the side of the road. The male subject was ultimately arrested for Public Intoxication
Assault Family Violence – On 04/27/2019 deputies were dispatched to an address on US HWY 183 N in May. This was in regards to an assault. Two men got into an altercation after drinking, one had a head wound, but denied medical assistance. A report has been taken.
Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon on a Public Servant, Resisting Arrest Search or Transport, Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle – On Saturday, April 27, 2019, at about 4:07 PM, Deputies Simpson and Hammonds responded to Lovers Lane. This was in regards to a burglary, which had just occurred. Upon arriving at the residence, contact was made with LEVI KYE POTTER (SUSPECT). POTTER was detained until Deputy Simpson spoke to the complaint. The complaint didn’t want to pursue charges. Deputy Simpson released POTTER and began to speak with POTTER’s family. POTTER walked to Deputy Hammonds’ patrol truck and Deputy Hammonds stepped out of her truck to ask POTTER if he needed anything. POTTER advised he didn’t. As Deputy Hammonds turned to speak with Deputy Simpson, POTTER jumped into Deputy Hammonds’ patrol truck and put the truck into drive, attempting to leave the scene. Deputy Simpson jumped into the driver seat with POTTER. As the truck began to roll, Deputy Simpson was able to throw the truck into park. Deputies Simpson and Hammonds were able to remove POTTER from the truck and placed him under arrest. As a result from the struggle with POTTER, both Deputies Simpson and Hammonds were injured. POTTER was charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon on a Public Servant, Resisting Arrest, Search, or Transport, and Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. POTTER was transported to the Brown County Jail where he was released to jail staff. While at the jail, POTTER actively resisted with the jail staff. MHMR later did an assessment of POTTER.
Agg. Assault Public Servant w/Deadly Weapon, Driving While Intoxicated 2nd, Resisting Arrest, Search, Transport, Reckless Driving – On 4/27/2019, at around 9:45 PM, Cpl. Taylor Fletcher, responded to assist Deputy Mason Fabbiani with a disorderly intoxicated male on Torres Lane. While speaking with the callers, the suspect, FLORENTINO LUCERO JR., got in his truck. He drove out onto the road then accelerated aggressively towards me and my patrol unit. I had to move my patrol unit out of LUCERO’s path before he came sliding to a stop behind our patrol units. LUCERO showed aggression toward deputies and was Tased after exiting the truck. LUCERO was arrested for Aggravated Assault Deadly Weapon on Public Servant, DWI 2nd, Resisting Arrest, and Reckless Driving.
Disorderly Conduct – On 04/28/2019 Deputy Mason Fabbiani was dispatched to an address on Belfast. This was in regards to an attempted suicide. TIMOTHY ALLEN FRENCH was transported to the BRMC ER. While at the hospital, FRENCH started yelling, cussing, and threatening hospital staff and anybody who would walk by his room. FRENCH was medically cleared and placed in custody for Disorderly Conduct and brought to Brown County Jail.
Theft of Service >=$100<$750, Criminal Mischief >=$100<$750 – On 4-28-2019, at about 6:54 PM, Deputy Byron Langley, arrived at the Flagship Inn Hotel located at N HWY 279 in Brownwood, TX. This was in regards to criminal mischief. I spoke to the Victim, who stated the Suspect had caused damage to her hotel room and left before paying for her bill.
Animal Bite – On 4-28-2019, at about 8:03 PM, Deputy Byron Langley, arrived at the Brownwood ER located at Crockett Dr. in Brownwood, TX. This was in regards to a dog bite. The deputy spoke to the Victim, who stated his dog bite his finger while he was attempting to break up a fight between him and another dog.
Assault – On April 27, 2019, at 10:45 AM, Deputy Jayson Bastardo, was dispatched to 1050 W Commerce (Brown County Jail). This was in regards to an inmate on inmate assault. A report was taken.
Criminal Mischief – On Thursday, April 25, 2019, at approximately 7:33 PM, Deputy Scotty Burke, was dispatched to the above address. This was in reference to a criminal mischief report and investigation. This was also in reference to a previous reckless driver report. The report will follow.
Theft, Criminal Trespass Warning – On April 28, 2017, at 11:36 AM, Deputy Jayson Bastardo, was dispatched to N 279. This was in regards to theft. Upon arrival, the deputy met with store manager, the manager said on Saturday, April 27, 2019, a named suspect stole an item from the store. A report was taken.
Trespass Warning – On Monday, April 29, 2019, at approximately 5:53 PM, Deputy Scotty Burke, and other units were dispatched to the above address. This was in reference to an unwanted person report. The suspect was located on the property and was issued a trespass warning for the property. The report will follow.
Abandoned Vehicle – On 4/29/19, at approximately 5:46 PM, Deputy Hopson, responded to E US 377 and FM 1467 for an abandoned vehicle. The vehicle was subsequently towed.
