Brownwood News – On Saturday, March 9, a group of Brownwood High School (BHS) Choir members and 4 BHS Staff members traveled to San Antonio to see the national tour Broadway show, “The Sound of Music” at the historic Majestic Theatre. Following the performance, they were able to participate in a Q & A session with some of the cast members.

“They were able to gain insight from the actresses who played Maria Rainer and Mother Abyss,” stated BHS Choir Director, Jennifer Reeves. “As well as another actor who is a swing, which means he learns all of the parts and is ready to perform on a whim if anyone can’t perform in a particular show.”

The BHS Choir group had some time before the show to eat and enjoy the Riverwalk to get their Spring Break started right. “There was a lot of positive feedback after seeing the musical,” noted Reeves. “Everyone enjoyed San Antonio.”
