A graveside service for Cecil Edward Renfroe, age 88, of Brownwood Texas will be held 2:00 PM Friday, January 25, 2019 at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery under the direction of the Heartland Funeral Home. Bill Slaymaker will officiate and Military Honors will be provided by the United States Air Force Honor Guard. Mr. Renfroe passed away on Sunday, January 20th 2019 in Olney, Texas.
Cecil was born on June 20th, 1930 in Mexia Texas to Albert and Luvena Gardner Renfroe.
He served in the United States Air Force from July 22, 1946 until July 21, 1949, during World War II in Okinawa Japan. Cecil married the love of his life Faye Barron on July 26th, 1949 in Brownwood Texas, was a member of the Brown Co. Sheriff’s Posse. He retired from GTE in 1983 after 31 years of service. Cecil enjoyed spending time with family, his nephew Jerry Renfroe and wife Clara
and especially his grandchildren. He loved engaging in conversations and telling his many stories.
Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Faye Renfroe of Brownwood.
Daughters, Cindy (Phillip) Yazell of Brownwood, Peggy (Edwin) Royston of Olney, Texas, Vicki Wyatt of Port Aransas, Texas. Grandsons, Randy Yazell of Brownwood, Dr. Jamison Wyatt and wife Kathleen
of New Braunfels Texas and Tyler Wyatt and wife Abigail of College Station, Texas.
Granddaughters, Jenny Yazell Person of Brownwood and Faynell Royston of Jacksboro
Texas. Great Grandchildren, Trevor Maddison, Brayden Yazell, Zochi, Olivia, and
Mace (Jr) Royston, Parker Jackson, Brady Hays and Joe Tatum, Colton and Hudson Wyatt,
Lyle and Porter Wyatt. One Great Great Grandson, Clayton Hays and Numerous nieces
and nephews. Cecil was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Luvena Renfroe,
Brothers, William, Albert, Jack and Elmo Renfroe. Sisters, Lillian Parkman, Velma Green,
Zelma Davis, Beulah Fry, Pearl Hillhouse, Rosie Petty, and Nettie Fay Robertson.
Also an infant daughter, Linda June Renfroe.
