Services for Emma Irene Baird will be at 1 P.M. Sunday, June 24, 2018 at Davis-Morris Funeral Home with visitation Saturday night from 5 to 7 P.M.  Burial will be in Brady, Texas following Sunday’s service.

Mrs. Baird was born in Coleman, Texas to Ina Lee and C. A. Bullard on September 5, 1924.  She passed away from this life to her heavenly Home on June 20, 2018.

Known to everyone as Irene, she grew up in Brady, Texas where she met and married Carlton H. Crawford.   They traveled around the country until he was sent overseas at the end of World War II.  Lt. Crawford was killed in a plane crash in January of 1946.  Their daughter Carlynn Crawford was born shortly after.

Having returned to the Central Texas area, Irene met and married Oliver T. Baird.  The family moved to Brownwood where a son, Michael Oliver Baird was born.  They lived in Brownwood for 56 years and were members of Austin Avenue Church of Christ.

After her husband passed away, Mrs. Baird moved to Fort Worth to be close to her children and grandchildren where she was part of all family get togethers.

She is survived by her brother, Curtis Bullard of San Antonio.  Also by her daughter Carlynn and husband Ron Davis, and her son Michael Baird and wife Yolanda.  She is also survived by three grandchildren, Kim Davis, Jason Davis, and Kelsey Mann.  She leaves behind seven great grandchildren who loved their Mama Baird.

Online memorials can be left at www.davismorrisfuneralhome.com
