Margaret “Meg” Munger

A memorial service for Margaret Ester “Meg” Munger, age 77, of Early, will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, May 21, 2018 in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel.

Meg passed from this life on Thursday, May 17, 2018 in a Brownwood nursing facility.

Margaret Ester Gilbert was born on August 24, 1940 in Omaha, Nebraska to Ted and Lola (Nelson) Gilbert.  She married Dwayne Munger on April 7, 1980 in Canutillo, Texas.  She and Dwayne moved to Early in 1984.  Margaret worked for the US Postal Service for many years, first as a letter carrier then as a clerk at the Early post office.  She was a member of Victory Life Church.

Meg is survived by her husband of thirty-eight years, Dwayne Munger of Early, her children, Ronald Roberts and wife Chrissy of Georgia, David Roberts of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Karen Rivas of Brownwood, Carla Langan of Clovis, New Mexico, Dana Herring of Early and Denise Thompson of Milano, Texas; 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; a sister, Linnea Wright of Mohave Valley, Arizona and a brother, Ted Gilbert and wife Linda of Lake Havasu, Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a son, Darren Scott.
