Update: Brownwood ISD School Supply Lists

bisdAugust 23 marks the beginning of the 2010-2011 school year for Brownwood ISD.   Teachers and students alike will be preparing for the first day soon.

Stores are already stocked with school supplies for the coming year.  Below are lists for school supplies needed for each grade.

 

Pre-K

  • 10- # 2 Yellow Wood Pencils
  • 2-Boxes 8 ct. Crayons
  • 1-Box Washable Markers
  • 6-Glue Sticks
  • 1-Large Liquid White School Glue
  • 1-Washable Watercolor Set

Kindergarten

Coggin Elementary  (4th Grade)

5th-12th Grades

School supply lists are based off of individual classes, and will be given to students once school starts.  The following grades’ lists are general supply needs, other elective classes may ask for additional supplies.

7th Grade

General:

  • NO Liquid Paper
  • 5 Star, 3-ring zipper binder (optional)
  • 3 pkg. notebook paper
  • 1 pkg. blue or black pens
  • 2 red pens
  • 3 pkg. #2 pencils
  • 2 large erasers
  • 1 pkg. highlighters (4 color set)
  • 1 pkg. map colors (12 color set)
  • 4 pocket folders with brads
  • 4 spirals (70 sheet size)
  • 1 hand held pencil sharpener
  • 3 large boxes of Kleenex

Planner: BMS will NOT have a planner provided by the school.  Students will be given an assignment sheet for all their core classes each week. This will also serve as their hall pass.

Electives: Elective classes may require additional supplies or fees.  Additional supplies may be required for a specific class. This information may be posted on the BMS website by the
teacher or students will be informed the first day of school.

Important Note: Students will not be allowed to bring book bags, backpacks or sports bags to class. Student can bring backpacks to school, but they must keep them in their lockers.

*All supplies and textbooks should be inside lockers NOT ON TOP OF LOCKER!
8th Grade:
General:
  • NO Liquid Paper
  • 5 Star, 3-ring zipper binder
  • Notebook paper, 3 – ring, wide ruled (not college)
  • 2 spirals
  • Ballpoint pens (blue or black) no eraser mates
  • 5 Red pens
  • 20 (#2) pencils
  • Highlighters (at least 3)
  • Map pencils (no felt markers )
  • 10 dividers (for 3 ring notebooks)
  • Zipper pencil bag for binder
  • 2 large box of Kleenex
