Brownwood News – The following incident reports were submitted by the Brownwood Fire Department detailing service calls handled from January 22nd to January 28th.

1/22/18
- 6:07 PM – Fire Call 701 Almond responded to a call of a gas leak. Arrived on scene and detected a smell of gas inside the residence. Resident had opened the home to air out. PD was requested on scene to investigate.
- 7:11 PM – EMS Call fall with injury
- 9:35 PM – EMS Call assault victim
1/23/18
- 2:38 AM – Dispatched and cancelled
- 12:28 PM – EMS Call lift assist
- 12:56 PM – MVA 9th & Brady arrived on scene with EMS. All occupants were out of the vehicles with no injuries.
- 4:33 PM – EMS Call seizure activity
- 5:56 PM – Fire Call 1000 Riverside Dr. dispatched for a fire by the creek at Riverside Park. Arrived on scene to find two people camping in dry creek bottom. Firefighters explained the city burn ordinance. Fire was smothered out.
1/24/18
- 7:56 AM – EMS Call allergic reaction
- 8:45 AM – EMS Call vomiting
- 1:10 PM – Fire Call 5550 CR 320 responded to assist Early FD with a barn fire threatening a structure. Arrived on scene to a storage shed on fire, Fire progression was stopped and structure was checked for extension with none found. Fire was started due to burning trash in a barrel.
- 4:37 PM – EMS Call chest pain
- 4:53 PM – Fire Call 7000 Balk CR 234 responded with VFD units for a grassfire. Arrived on scene to find a slow burning grass fire. County precinct road grader was used to cut a fire line. Fire was contained witching the line.
- 6:46 PM – EMS Call suicide attempt
- 8:52 PM – MVA 1909 Belle Plain arrived on scene of a minor two vehicle accident with no injuries.
- 11:32 PM – EMS Call throwing up blood
- 11:57 PM – Dispatched and cancelled
1/25/18
- 5:31 AM – EMS Call possible heart attack
- 8:09 AM – Fire Call 606 Ave C units responded to a residential structure fire. Upon arrival, two story home with fire showing was found. Fire was extinguished, second floor damage was major.
- 4:37 PM – Fire Call 2710 Cleburne St. reported to a call of a fire in the backyard. On arrival, it was found there had been a fire, but it was out. Owner stated a heat lamp had started the grass fire which he extinguished with a water hose.
- 7:48 PM – EMS Call chest pain
- 7:49 PM – Fire Call 6750 US 67 responded to the report of a grass fire with one building involved. Entry was made into the first floor find fire in the ceiling and adjacent rooms. After time suppressing fire on the first floor, command was notified of the need to go to a defensive strategy. All units were removed safely.
- 8:27 PM – Fire Call 1600 Austin Ave reported to a call of a fire in the alley. Arrived on scene to find a large pile of trash that was on fire. Line was pulled from the Brush truck and fire was extinguished.

- 11:12 AM – EMS Call seizure activity
- 1:44 PM – EMS Call general weakness
- 2:44 PM – Fire Call 1316 Coggin alarm for burning leaves in the backyard. Units arrived on scene and was informed by owner that they were preparing to cook in the fire pit. Fire pit was built of stone and had a grill cover over the top.
- 3:31 PM – EMS Call fall with injury
- 3:37 PM – MVA 100 E Commerce arrived on scene of a two vehicle accident with no injuries.
- 8:27 PM – EMS Call seizures
- 11:22 PM – EMS Call difficulty breathing
1/27/18
- 8:40 AM – EMS Call fall with injury
- 11:10 AM – EMS Call suicide attempt
- 2:21 PM – Fire Call 5270 Healer Lane arrived on scene to find a 3 acre slow burning grassfire. Fire Crews started extinguishment upon arrival.
- 6:28 PM – Fire Call 1113 Santa Clara dispatched for a gas leak. Arrived to find Atmos already on scene.
1/28/18
- 12:39 AM – EMS Call possible stroke
- 3:44 PM – EMS Call bleeding
- 4:30 PM – EMS Call fall with injury
- 4:32 PM- Fire Call 9000 CR 367 arrived on scene to find about an acre in a very thick brush. Fire was knocked down quickly.
- 8:23 PM – EMS Call difficulty breathing
- 9:40 PM – EMS Call seizure activity
