John S. (Steve) Glass left us on December 28, 2017 to be with our Heavenly Father. Steve loved hunting, fishing, metal detecting, gold panning, but most of all reloading Ammunition for target practice.  He was an excellent marksman, as he had received sharpshooter metal while on tour in Vietnam in 1967.  Steve served four years in the Marine Corps and was discharged September 1, 1971 after receiving a purple heart and other metals, as rank of E-5 Sgt.

He was born on June 10, 1948 to John B. Glass and Mary Francis Latham in Bakersfield California.  He was preceded in death in death by his son Bryan Glass and grandson Cody Glass of Troy, Texas.

Survivors include two sons Conway and John Glass of Ukiah, California and a brother Danny Glass of Santa Maria, California.

The family will receive friends 12:00 pm – 2:00 PM Monday, January 8, 2018 at the Heartland Funeral Home in Early, Texas.
