Dorothy Shafer Hinesly

A graveside funeral service for Dorothy Fay Hinesly, age 79, of Brownwood, formerly of Rising Star, will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, December 3, 2017 in the Rising Star Cemetery under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home of Early.  The family received friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening.

Mrs. Hinesly passed from this life on Friday, December 1, 2017 in Brownwood.

Dorothy was born on December 17, 1937 in Brownwood to Faye and Clyde Shafer.

She was preceded in death by her husband Roland Troy Hinesly in 2015 and two granddaughters, Kaylee Lewis and Renea Carter.

Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Debbie Bilbrey and husband Jesse of Rising Star, Sandy Nelson of Odessa, Donna Grissom and husband Bobby of Carbon and Brenda Madsen and husband Junior of Anchorage, Alaska; a sister, Betty Wallace and husband Clyde of Colorado City, Texas and a brother, William Michael Shafer and wife Wanell of Indianapolis, Indiana; ten grandchildren, Pamela Billman and husband Robby, Gwen Robinette and husband Lonnie, Donna Lewing and husband Ray, Bobbie Lewis and husband Scott, Billy Grissom and wife Tana, Michael Grissom, Terry Brown, Tina Brown-Perez and husband Terry, Dusty Bilbrey and wife Amber and Trey Bilbrey and wife Jamie; 28 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
