Brownwood News – Traffic on HWY 279 outside of Brownwood was reduced to one lane as Texas State Troopers, Brown County Sheriff’s Deputies, and the Brownwood Fire Department worked to clear an accident on a stretch of road known locally as “Dead Man’s Curve.”
First responders were dispatched around 10:30 a.m. after a pickup truck had reportedly flipped over after losing traction on the curve. The roads were wet after last night’s storms.
