Brownwood News – The Chatfield Assisted Living center, located at 1605 Calvert Road, will be conducting a presentation on Advance Directives in partnership with Interim HealthCare Hospice on Monday, May 22nd, beginning at 5:30 p.m. There is no cost to attend the presentation.

Advance directives are documents that communicate an individuals wishes regarding medical care, if at some point in the future, the person is unable to speak for themselves.

During the presentation, three of the Texas Advance Directive documents will be covered, including:

• A Directive to Physicians (Living Will)
• A Medical Power of Attorney
• Out of Hospital DNR Order (No Not Resuscitate)

Chatfield Assisted Living invites the community to attend the presentation to learn more about these documents, and ensure that future medical needs are carried out according to an individual’s wishes. It is also helpful for family members to attend, in order to better understand a loved one’s medical treatment choices.
