Sunday, May 7th
*8:57 a.m. Brownwood Police responded to a domestic disturbance near the 400 block of Main Street. After investigation, officers arrested Brandom Vazquez for Assault Family Violence.
Monday, May 8th
*A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy spoke with a complainant regarding forged checks. The individual told the deputy a known suspect had forged two checks and cashed them at a local bank. The complainant suspected one of his employees.
*11:24 a.m. A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy was dispatched to CR 215 in reference to a domestic disturbance. Injuries were observed on the victim’s left arm; however, no arrest was made at the scene. A suspect was named.
*3:02 p.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of W. Commerce Street in reference to a theft. According to the report, an unknown suspect stole a woman’s wallet with cash and identification inside.
*4:02 p.m. A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy spoke to a complainant by phone in regards to stolen kayaks. The complainant stated he had left two kayaks at a friend’s property located on FM 2492 on the Jim Ned River.
*7:08 p.m. A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy observed a 2003 Cadillac speeding. The deputy contacted the driver, Jason Brewer, who was then arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.
*10:43 p.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of Santa Clara Drive in reference to a weapons offense. Officers arrived on scene and made contact with the involved parties. After further investigation, officers arrested 40 year old Michael Dale Baccus for Aggravated Assault With Deadly Weapon Family Violence (Felony-2nd), Deadly Conduct Discharge Firearm (Felony-3rd), and Possession of Marijuana < 2oz. An AR 15 Rifle was placed into evidence.
