oleta-painter-photoOleta Painter, of San Marcos, Texas and formerly of Brownwood Texas, passed away on November 30, 2016, in San Marcos, at the age of 88.

Funeral Services for Oleta will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday, December 3, 2016, at Blaylock Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Slaymaker and Kyle Bishop officiating; interment will follow at Greenleaf Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to services at 10:00 a.m. at Blaylock Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home.

Oleta was born in Brown County, Texas to Calvin and Viola Bullard on October 8, 1928.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and “NaNa” to all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her husband of many years Virgil Painter; sons, Clyde Turrell and Norman Painter.  She is survived by her sister, Opal Gotcher of Orem, Utah; daughters, Connie Campbell of Brownwood, and Edna Radford of Round Rock, Texas; son, Ernest Painter and wife Donna of Martindale, Texas;  11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to extend our sincere appreciation to Regent Care Center and Heart to Heart Hospice for the loving care they have provided.  In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Brown County or Heart to Heart Hospice of San Marcos.
