simmons-002Keribeth Dodds Simmons, 52, of Santa Anna, passed away on November 18, 2016 after a difficult battle with ALS. She was born April 4, 1964.
She attended High School in Brownfield, & Texas State Technical College in Brownwood, where she earned an Associate’s Degree in Computer Networking. Keribeth held a part-time job with TSTC while she was a student, and after graduating in 2000, accepted a full-time position with the college. She worked in many different departments, but her accounting skills & her compassion to help students, opened the door for her to be named TSTC West Texas Director of Student Accounting. She served campuses in Abilene, Breckenridge, Brownwood and Sweetwater.
Survivors include her devoted husband, Mike Simmons of Santa Anna, son, Dillan Simmons of San Angelo, daughters, Amber Yates, of Brownfield, Leann Simmons of Santa Anna & Kathy Garza of Brownwood, sisters, Karen Dodds Bayer of Edmond, OK & Kathy Dodds Herrell of Ransom Canyon, two grandsons, Brodey Yates & Aden Garza, granddaughters, Kaylee Yates & Abbi Dyer, and five nephews and one niece.
Keribeth was the daughter of Kay Miller Dodds, the late, Wendell Dodds and Lois Dodds.
A private family celebration of Keribeth’s life will be held in the near future.
Her memory would be honored most by donations, sent in her name, to the ALS Association Texas Chapter –  4939 DeZavala Rd Ste. 105 San Antonio, TX, or to Pediatric Brain Cancer Research/American Cancer Society.

Condolences, memories and tributes can be offered to the family online at heartlandfuneralhome.net
