One woman was injured in a two-vehicle collision on Austin Avenue Thursday afternoon.
According to a witness on scene, the accident occurred at approximately 5:10 p.m. when a female in a Toyota Camry, which was traveling northbound, attempted to turn left into the car wash in the 2600 block of Austin Avenue. As the driver of the Camry turned, she struck a silver Chevy Equinox in a “T-bone” fashion.
The driver of the Equinox suffered what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries, according to first responders on scene. She was transported to Brownwood Regional Medical Center for evaluation and treatment of her injuries. The driver of the Camry was shaken up but appeared to have no visible injuries and did not require medical attention.
The Equinox, pictured above, sustained damage to the driver’s side of the vehicle and multiple air bags did deployed. The Camry had minimal damage to the front of the vehicle.
Brownwood Fire Department, Brownwood Police Department and Lifeguard EMS responded to the scene of the accident.
