Law enforcement arrests and reports released Wednesday, April 20, 2016
Monday, April 18
*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy met with a complainant in Blanket who stated he had been drugged while drinking alcohol with his neighbor and that a fight had occurred. An investigation of the incident was completed and documented.
Tuesday, April 19
*1:15 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2800 block of Southside Drive regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, a laptop, a computer bag, a lanyard with a key and a book were stolen from the vehicle.
*5:15 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy met with a complainant at the law enforcement center who reported that an unknown subject had apparently poured diesel fluid in the DEF tank of his truck. According to the report, the complainant estimated the damage to the vehicle at approximately $6151.15.
*5:58 PM – Brownwood Police responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 500 block of E. Baker Street. According to the report, the accident investigation led to the discovery of drug paraphernalia after the K-9 unit made a positive alert on the vehicle. A citation was issued and a warrant was sought for the other suspect involved, the report states.
*6:21 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Main Blvd regarding an animal complaint. According to the report, a pit bull had attacked a neighbor’s dog. The owner of the pit bull was able to pull the pit bull off of the injured dog and take it home, the report states. The owner was issued a citation for animal running at large, according to police.
*7:35 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3200 block of 2nd Street regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, a tool valued at $10,000 was stolen from the vehicle.
*11:17 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was called to a residence on Waterford Drive a report of assault. According to the report, a male subject had been pushed by a female relative; however, he had no pain or injuries. The parties were separated for the night and the incident documented, according to the deputy.
*11:48 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 200 block of E. Commerce. According to the report, during the stop, officers located several items of drug paraphernalia. As a result of this stop, a male subject was issued a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report from a parole officer that she had discovered a sex offender who had opened an unauthorized Facebook account. The sex offender has not reported the Facebook account as required by Chapter 62 of the Criminal Procedure Sex Offender Registration Requirements.
*Brownwood Police arrested 32-year-old Bruce Wayne Kellar of May on warrants related to no driver’s license and failure to appear.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 25-year-old Michael Anthony Mallone of Early for public intoxication.
*Brownwood Police arrested 21-year-old Shooter Fauch Lane Soward of Brownwood on warrants related to speeding and violate promise to appear.
Wednesday, April 20
*12:09 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 1500 block of Avenue E. According to the report, the driver tried to evade police as they attempted to make the traffic stop and then exited the vehicle and ran on foot. Officers were unable to catch or identify the subject at the time of the stop. The passenger of the vehicle, later identified as Maria Hernandez, was arrested for the offenses of possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone and hinder apprehension or prosecution of a known felon.
*A Texas Parks and Wildlife game warden arrested 19-year-old Parker Andrew Duncan of Brownwood for driving while intoxicated.
