At the Brownwood ISD School Board meeting, Monday, December 14th, board members joined with district staff to recognize Liesa Land for her work as Acting Superintendent for the district while a search was completed to fill the role permanently.
“We wanted to thank you, Liesa, for everything you’ve done for the past year,” said Board President, Michael Cloy, before presenting Land with flowers and a certificate recognizing “above and beyond service to the district.”
“It’s a great district,” said Land to a standing ovation. “And if it weren’t for the board members, staff members, and the faculty of this district I would have never been able to do it.”
Dr. Joe Young will officially take over as Brownwood ISD’s new Superintendent January 4, 2016.
