District Attorney, Micheal Murray reports that several felony cases were recently heard in Brown/Mills County District Court, Judge Stephen Ellis presiding.
Royce Phillips pled guilty to the felony offense of Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon and was sentenced to 30 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Further, Phillips pled guilty to the felony offense of Delivery of a Controlled Substance-Drug Free Zone and was sentenced to 10 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
Rollie Lopez pled guilty to two separate felony offenses of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and was sentenced to 25 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division in each case.
Jason Paul Brice pled guilty to the felony offense of Burglary of a Habitation and was sentenced to 17 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Further, Brice pled guilty to the state jail felony offense of Theft over $1,500 under $20,000 and was sentenced to 24 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
Bridget King pled guilty to the felony offense of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity and was sentenced to 10 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Further King, on probation for the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 – Drug Free Zone, was adjudicated and sentenced to 3 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Also King, on probation for two separate state jail felony offenses of Possession of a Controlled Substance PG3 less than 28 grams – Drug Free Zone, was adjudicated and sentenced to 2 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division

Further Stewart pled guilty to the felony offense of Theft over $1,500 under $20,000 and was sentenced to 6 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
Robert Glen James pled guilty to the felony offense of Evading Arrest – Prior Conviction and was sentenced to 7 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
Johnny Earl Simmons, on probation for the felony offense of Driving While Intoxicated, was revoked and sentenced to 5 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
