Monday, July 20
*9:52 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 100 block of South Broadway regarding the theft of a wristlet wallet.
Tuesday, July 21
*7:17 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 100 block of Market Place Blvd. regarding an unwanted person. According to the report, after speaking with the manager of the business, 44-year-old James Earl Nix of Brownwood was arrested for Class B theft with previous convictions and Class C disorderly conduct (abusive/profane language).
*8:50 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 900 block of Gifford Street regarding theft. According to the report, a bicycle was stolen from the yard of the residence and another bicycle was left in its place. Reports for stolen and found property were taken, according to the responding officer.
*9:48 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to the area of County Road 386 regarding a possible motor vehicle accident. According to the report, a Chevrolet pickup was located that had been burned in a fire. There was no evidence of a crash and no license plates or identifiable vehicle identification number (VIN) plates could be located. The vehicle was towed to a holding yard for storage, the report states.
*4:13 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to a local bank in the 1200 block of Austin Avenue regarding forgery of a financial instrument. According to a bank teller, a local convenience store manager made a money drop around 4:00 p.m. on this date. While counting the money, the teller noticed a counterfeit $20 bill. An investigation is ongoing, the report states.
*8:34 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a property on Half Moon Circle regarding found property. According to the report, the complainant stated that he had found a laptop wrapped in plastic near the front entrance of his neighborhood.
*11:07 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the area of Durham and Parkway Avenues. According to the report, during the stop, drug paraphernalia was located. A citation was issued for possession of drug paraphernalia and all parties were released from the scene, the report states.
*11:48 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to the area of Spring Lake West regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 34-year-old Richard Nino Uballe of Brownwood for assault family violence strangulation with previous conviction an abandoning or endangering child.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 22-year-old Jody Duvall Burns of Brownwood on a warrant related to the theft of a firearm.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 50-year-old Jimmy William Jolly of Blanket on a warrant related to possession of a controlled substance in a drug free zone.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 42-year-old James Earl Nickerson on a warrant related to aggravated assault causes serious bodily injury.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 18-year-old Kelsie Kay Roberts of Glen Cove on a warrant related to surety withdrawals for possession of a controlled substance in a drug free zone an tamper/fabricate physical evidence. Roberts was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $30,000 as of Wednesday morning.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 21-year-old Trevalia Jaleel Rudd of Brownwood on a warrant related to motion to adjudicate tamper/fabricate physical evidence and disorderly conduct fighting. Rudd was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bond as of Wednesday morning.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 44-year-old on a warrant related to forgery of a financial instrument against elderly and forgery of a financial instrument.
*Brownwood Police arrested 58-year-old Sterling Lee Swift of Fort Worth on a warrant related to public intoxication.
Wednesday, July 22
*12:49 AM – Brownwood Police responded to an accident in the area of 4th Street and Broadmoor. According to the report, an investigation found the driver, identified as 30-year-old Joshua Modgling of Brownwood, to be intoxicated. Modgling was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated 3rd or more.
