Cheryl Keath Brown passed away Thursday, April 24, 2025 in Abilene, TX.  A celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am Monday, April 28 at the Blanket Methodist Church.

Cheryl known to most as Cheri, and to some as Cheryl Dean Bob, was born April 24, 1948 to James and Dorothy Keath. She met the love of her life, Danny Brown, in Del Rio, TX and they were married in 1965. They remained sweethearts for almost 60 years.

After moving to Rankin they welcomed daughter, Jamie Moore in 1966. The family moved to Marietta, GA in 1969 and back to Texas in 1980.

Cheri worked diligently attending night classes at Georgia Tech and University of Houston to earn her BS in Finance in 1991. She started her career with FM Global (Allendale Mutual Insurance Company) in Atlanta, GA and transferred to Houston where she retired in 2008.

Cheri and Danny found their slice of property and settled in Blanket, Texas in 1994. She became an active member of the Blanket Methodist Church where She was a member of the hand bells and headed up the committee for the annual Christmas tour held in the Family Life Center.

Cheri had a heart of gold and thrived on helping and doing for others.  Family was her greatest joy.  She was a self taught artist and interior decorator.  She planned and decorated not only her homes, but other family members’ homes, office spaces and of course the Blanket Church Family Life Center.

Cheri will be reunited with her parents Dorothy Taylor and James Keath and step father Pryce Taylor.

Continuing to celebrate her life is husband Danny Brown of Blanket, daughter Jamie Moore and husband Jerry of Lake Brownwood, grandsons Justin Moore of Brownwood and Jackson Moore of Lake Brownwood. Sisters Linda Henderson of Blanket and Becca Morris of Brownwood.
