The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Friday, April 11 at the Brownwood Country Club will feature TxDOT.

Greg Cedillo, P.E., is the district engineer for TxDOT’s Brownwood District.

The district comprises nine counties: Brown, Coleman, Comanche, Eastland, Lampasas, McCulloch, Mills, San Saba and Stephens.

Cedillo began his career with TxDOT in 1999. He served as an engineering assistant in the Lubbock District until 2002, when he transferred to the Wichita Falls District as an assistant area engineer in the Graham Area Office. After earning his license as a professional engineer in 2004, Cedillo transferred to the Fort Worth District’s central design office. In 2005, he was named the Wise County Assistant Area Engineer and worked with maintenance, design, and construction.

In 2009, Cedillo was named South Tarrant County Area Engineer. In this capacity, he was directly responsible for metro maintenance and multi-million-dollar construction projects, including the Interstate 30 Mobility Improvement Project, the I-30/SH 360 Interchange Project in Arlington’s entertainment district, and the Interstate 20/SH 183 Interchange Project at Chisholm Trail Parkway. He was promoted in 2017 to director of construction for the Fort Worth District, where he has overseen the Construction and Alternative Delivery Program worth more than four billion dollars.

Appointed as the Brownwood District Engineer in January 2023, Cedillo oversees the planning, designing, building, operation, and maintenance of the state transportation system for the district. The Brownwood District’s priority corridors include IH 20, US 67, US 84, US 183, US 190, and US 377.

Cedillo graduated from Texas Tech University in 1999.

Lunch is $25 per person, and because meals are prepared in advance, the Chamber kindly asks that you register as soon as possible so we can provide an accurate headcount to the Country Club.
