STEPHENVILLE – The playoff-bound Brownwood Lions soccer team was dealt a narrow 3-2 loss by District 5-4A champion Stephenville Friday night in the regular season finale for both teams.

Brownwood received goals from Stephen Rodriguez and Arturo Vaquera.

The Lions (5-11-2, 2-6) will head into the postseason as the No. 2 seed from District 5 in the Class 4A Division II playoffs.

Information on the Lions’ bi-district match-up has not yet been finalized.
