The metal canopy overhanging Circle V BBQ, located at 2006 U.S. Highway 377 South, was uplifted Tuesday due to the strong west winds affecting most of Central and West Texas.
As of noon Tuesday, the National Weather Service was reporting 33 mph west winds and gusts up to 47 mph at the Brownwood Regional Airport. Brownwood and the surrounding area continues to be under a High Wind Warning until 7 p.m. today, as as well as a Blowing Dust Advisory until 6 p.m.
Winds of 35-45 mph are expected, with gusts up to 65 mph, the rest of the day, and visibility is likely to be between a quarter-mile and one mile due to the blowing dust from West Texas.
