BRECKENRIDGE – The Brownwood Lady Lions placed third as a team and the Brownwood Lions came in fourth at the Breckenridge powerlifting meet on Thursday, their first outing of the season.
The girls’ effort was paced by Sidney Adkins, who finished first in the 132-pound weight class, followed by Emera Lombrana (2nd in the 114s), Kendall Ratliff (2nd in the 132s), Aliyah Berndt (2nd in the 220s), Leslie Rios (3rd in the 220s), Allison Reyna (4h in the 165s), Kynley Martin (4th in the 181s), Amiyah Avalos (5th in the 148s), Ashley Robinson (6th in the 123s), and Jalynn Carillo (6th in the 148s).
For the Lions, Logan Flores in the 275s and Aidan Packheiser in the super heavyweights both placed first, trailed by Levi Pearson (2nd in the 181s), Preston Cook (4th in the 148s), Gus Gonzales (4th in the 242s), Raul Eberhardt (5th in the 242s), Tanner McDaniel (6th in the 114s), and Daylan Ansons (6th in the 148s).
The Lions and Lady Lions will be back in action at 4 p.m. Thursday at Abilene Wylie.
