This free workshop is for anyone 18 and older interested in learning and teaching fly fishing skills in their schools and communities. This is not a beginning Fly Fishing workshop. Participants will need to bring their own fly rod & reel with complete line setup to use during the workshop.

An online TPWD Volunteer profile is required to attend and become certified.

After certification, the program provides the curriculum, equipment (where available), materials and support to help volunteers successfully introduce others to fishing. TEA-approved CPE available for teachers.

For new TPWD volunteers: Click on the blue “New Volunteer” link on the left and follow the prompts to create a volunteer profile.

Please remember to authorize and complete the Criminal Background Check section. All fields must be completed including your date of birth and Driver’s License number. No need to include references or work history.

For Current TPWD Volunteers: click on the “Login” link enter your TPWD password User ID and Password.
