The office of District Attorney Micheal Murray issued the following press release regarding felony cases recently heard in 35th District Court by Judge Mike Smith.
- Nate Wayne Bentley pled guilty to the felony offense of Evading Arrest and was sentenced to 10 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
- Buford Wayne Whited, on probation for the felony offense of Driving While Intoxicated Third or More, was revoked and sentenced to 5 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
- Righ Bishop pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to 4 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
- Joshua Todd, on probation of the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance, was adjudicated and sentenced to 2 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Further, Todd, on probation for the state jail felony offense of Endangering a Child, was adjudicated and sentenced to 2 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
- Michael Wayne Jackson, on probation for two separate state jail felony offense of Endangering a Child, was adjudicated and sentenced to 20 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
- James Sherrod, on probation for the state jail felony offense of Injury to the Elderly, was revoked and sentenced to 15 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
