Radio station toy drives scheduled for Dec. 17
The annual KOXE-KBWD Two-Steppin’ for Toys event, along with the Wendlee Brodcasting Toy Drive, will both take place during normal business hours Tuesday, Dec. 17, with toys and money collected going toward the Brown County Toys for Kids program.
Two-Steppin for Toys will be held in front of the KOXE-KBWD office on Carnegie Street, while Wendlee’s toy drive will take place at the old Bank of America parking lot next to Trans Texas Tire on Main Street.

Monday, Dec. 16 is the final day to sign up for Toys for Kids and as of Friday morning, 1,092 kids from 444 families had been registered.
Registration takes place at Grand Starz located at 2323 Belle Plain. Those needing assistance for Christmas should bring your ID, a utility bill or other proof of address, and each child’s social security card during registration.
Distribution Day for Toys for Kids is Saturday, Dec. 21.
