The Bangs Christmas Parade will take place at 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, sponsored by the Bangs MDD. Line up will take place on Gantt Street at 5:30 pm. And the parade route runs from FM 586 on Fitzgerald to 1st Street.
Cookies with Santa will follow at the City Park Pavilion.
Awards that will be presented during the parade lineup are the Elfin Magic Award (best entry fearuring children), Christmas Star (best overall creativity), Holiday Spirit (most enthusiastic participants), Caroling (best musical perfomance), Griswold (craziest light display), Fruit Cake (most humorous display), Best Decorated Classic Vehicle (1970 or older), Best Decorated Modern Vehicle (1971 or newer), Best Small Business/Organization Entry, and Judge’s Choice (best, most original design).
