DUBLIN – The Brownwood Lions remained undefeated at the Dublin basketball tournament thanks to their sixth consecutive victory, 71-64 over tournament host Dublin Friday night.
The Lions led 22-19 after one period, 41-37 at halftime and 58-56 heading into the fourth quarter, where they pulled away late.
Ross Strasner and Casey Friebel sparked the offensive attack with 17 points apiece while Bennett Windham also finished in double figures with 12, trailed by Weston Wolf and Durham Brown with five points each, Braedan Stacks and Elias Perez with four apiece, Noah Pyle with three points and Devin Eanes and Santiago Alvizo each with a pair.
The Lions (8-2) resume tournament action at 9:30 a.m. Friday.
