Howard Payne University will host two upcoming prospective student visit days on Monday, November 25 and Tuesday, December 3. These preview days provide opportunities to visit campus and learn more about all aspects of the HPU student experience.
“Visiting campus on a weekday is one of the best ways to experience campus life,” said Megan Proctor, assistant director of admissions and transfer admission counselor. “Our preview events are open to all prospective students and their families.”
The Yellow Jacket Preview Day on Monday, November 25, will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. During the preview day, participants will tour the campus and residence halls, enjoy lunch in the Beadel Dining Hall, meet HPU faculty at an Academic Fair, hear from a student panel, learn about financial aid, receive exclusive scholarship opportunities, visit with an admission counselor and receive a free t-shirt.
Optional activities after lunch include visiting the Stinger Store, touring the Douglas MacArthur Academy of Freedom, observing a class and touring a lab or academic building in more detail.
On Tuesday, December 3, a special “Christmas on the Plaza” tour will be held from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. for prospective students. This unique visit will include a campus tour, time with current Yellow Jackets, a free t-shirt and the opportunity to see the campus lit up with Christmas lights.
Additional Yellow Jacket Preview days will be held in the spring. Prospective students can also schedule campus visit anytime by contacting the Office of Admissions.
