The Brownwood Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 3200 Avenue C at 8:08 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13.
The first fire unit arriving encountered a mobile home fully involved with fire. Crews immediately began applying large amounts of water and provided exposure protection to the residence next to the fire building. Once the main body of fire was extinguished a primary search was conducted finding no one inside. One person was residing at the property and there were no injuries reported. The structure was deemed a total loss, and the fire remains under investigation by the Brown County Sherriff’s Office and the County Fire Marshal.
Chief 9, Chief 92, Truck 9, Rescue 9 and Engine 92 responded with assistance from the Early Fire Department, Lifeguard Ambulance, Brownwood Police Department, Brown County Sheriff’s Office and Oncor.
The fire was under control in 20 minutes and units were on scene for 1 hour and 42 minutes.
An estimated $5,000 in damages were caused by the fire.
