The May Lady Tigers notched their first basketball victory of the season Saturday at home, 52-50 over Irion County.
May (1-1), which dropped its opener to Sweetwater earlier this week, trailed Irion County 22-11 after one quarter, 32-26 at halftime and drew even at 48 after three periods.
The Lady Tigers received 11 points each from Chloe Lord and Jordyn Gerhardt, 10 from Mia Musick, eight from Aubree Gerhardt, six from Kenlyn King, four from McKenna Landes, and two points from Cortney Harper.
May visits Abilene Cooper at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday.
In other girls basketball action Saturday, the Brookesmith Lady Mustangs improved to 2-0 on the season with a 39-28 victory over Lohn.
No additional information was available for Brookesmith, which heads to Lingleville at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
