Jonesboro (7-1, 2-0) at May (9-0, 2-0)

In a clash of Top 10 Class A Division I teams, the No. 4 May Tigers will look to end their recent drought against the No. 6 Jonesboro Eagles and capture the District 14 championship.
May is coming off a 66-18 victory at Lometa last week in which the Tigers finished with 559 yards of total offense – 404 rushing and 155 passing.
Ben Harrell rushed for a career-high 321 yards and six touchdowns on 18 carries while also completing 2 of 4 passes for 107 yards and another score. Kobey Morris hauled in two receptions for 83 yards with a touchdown and tacked on 67 rushing yards and another score as well.
Cayson Dail was 2 of 3 through the air for 48 yards, while Brody Stice caught a 42-yard pass and Lane Goodson hauled in a 30-yard reception. Jackson Lusk added 16 yards on the ground to round out the May offensive output.
Defensively, Harrell also led the Tigers with 12 tackles followed by nine from Goodson, eight from Mikey Scheriger, six from Lusk, five from Kaden Watkins – who intercepted a pass – and four from Morris.
Jonesboro, which has won its last three meetings against May, has only lost to Westbrook – 68-36 in Week 2 – this season. The Eagles are coming off a 70-18 victory over Santa Anna last week.
Players to watch for Jonesboro are Austin Massengill, Layden Nichols, Maddox Stroud, Luke Stephenson, Eric Thorman, Truett Foote, Pate Foote, Braxton Dossey, Jeremiah Forrest, Sam Lawrence, Braden Ashby and Evan Mansell.

Gustine (7-1, 2-1) at Zephyr (8-1, 3-0)

The Zephyr Bulldogs have already clinched a share of a third consecutive district championship, but to earn the 13-A Division II top seed and secure the title outright they must defeat the Gustine Tigers Friday night.
Zephyr is coming off a 48-0 victory last week at Sidney as the Bulldogs scored on seven of nine offensive possessions and finished with 339 yards of total offense – 194 passing and 145 rushing – with one turnover. Defensively, Zephyr yielded just 99 total yards on 41 snaps – an average of just 2.4 yards per play – and recorded its second shutout of the season.
Reese Hamm caught a team-high four passes of 97 yards and scored twice and also rushed for 41 yards on four carries with another trip to the end zone. Wyatt Stevens was 10 of 13 through the air for 194 yards with three scoring tosses, as Corben Gosnell hauled in a 26-yard scoring reception.
Stevens also finished with a team-high 55 yards rushing and another score, while CJ Byers contributed three carries for 16 yards, with two of those rushes resulting in touchdowns. Byers also caught three passes covering 22 yards.
Chayden Woodcock tacked on 33 yards rushing in his return to the lineup after a month-long absence, while Wyatt Frank chipped in a 45-yard reception and Ethan Byers added a 4-yard catch to highlight Zephyr’s offensive performance.
Gustine picked up a 40-30 victory over Rising Star last week, as the only blemish on the Tigers’ schedule this year is a 59-13 loss to district rival Blanket.
Players to watch for Gustine include Allen Lopez, Gabriel Patino, Anthony Patino, Michael Garcia, and Juan Munoz.

Sidney (3-5, 0-3) at Blanket (7-1, 2-1)

The Blanket Tigers are in line to be the No. 2 playoff seed out of District 13-A Division II if they take care of business against the Sidney Eagles Friday night, with a little help from the Zephyr Bulldogs.
However, if Gustine defeats Zephyr and Blanket wins, the teams will share the 13-A Division II crown and a tiebreaker will determine which two squads advance.
The Tigers could even qualify for the playoffs with a loss, as along as Zephyr knocks off Gustine.
Blanket is coming off its bye week, which followed the only loss of the season, a 58-14 defeat at the hands of Zephyr in which the Tigers committed eight turnovers.
The Tigers are looking to improve on their performance against Zephyr as Kannon Kensing rushed for 73 yards and a touchdown, while Cameron Aultman added 32 yards. Aultman also passed for 37 yards while Dallas Shumaker threw for 74 yards. Mason Beck led Blanket with five grabs for 80 yards and Brian Shannon finished with two catches for 31 yards.
Aultman led the Tigers with 10 tackles and Shannon added nine.
Sidney suffered a 48-0 loss to Zephyr last week in which the Eagles were limited to 99 total yards – 59 rushing and 40 passing – with one turnover. The Sidney defense gave up 339 yards of total offense – 194 passing and 145 rushing – and forced one turnover.
The Eagles were led by Jackson Pounds, who rushed for 31 yards, while Ethan Scantling tacked on 17 yards on the ground and completed 5 of 13 passes for 40 yards with an interception. Rees Miller rushed for 10 yards and caught two passes for 7 yards, while Dylan Terpstra hauled in a 24-yard reception, Jaylon Salinas made a 10-yard catch, and Ethan Brown hauled in a 6-yard toss.

Lohn (5-4, 1-2) at Richland Springs (9-0, 3-0)

The Class A Division II No. 2 Richland Springs Coyotes already own the No. 1 playoff seed out of District 15 and no worse than a share of the league championship, but the crown will be theirs outright with a victory in Friday’s home finale against Lohn.
Richland Springs rolled past Rochelle, 51-6, last week in the battle of the league unbeatens to claim the No. 1 seed. If Lohn was to pull off one of the biggest upsets in six-man history, it would lead to a tie atop the league standings between Richland Springs and Rochelle, but the Coyotes own the head-to-head tiebreaker.
In last week’s victory, Richland Springs manufactured 254 total yards – 146 rushing and 108 passing – as the Coyotes led 14-6 after one quarter, 44-6 at halftime, and ended the game early in the third period.
Cohen Ethridge rushed for 99 yards and three touchdowns and passed for 68 yards and two more scores. Hutton Rogers caught a 50-yard touchdown, while Brice Roesler hauled in a 40-yard scoring reception from Billy Perry, who also caught an 18-yard touchdown and added 47 yards on the ground.
Jim Eckermann contributed a touchdown on a blocked kick return and finished with four tackles, including three sacks. Perry led the way with 10 tackles and four sacks, followed by seven tackles each from Ethridge and EJ Aviles and five Gage Behrens, who also collected two sacks. Ethridge recovered two fumbles and Rogers intercepted a pass.
Players to watch for Lohn include include Barrett Brock, Fermin DeLaRosa, Dallas Keller, Connor Nuncio, Kadin Reeves, and Austin Ellison.

Comanche (6-3, 3-1) at Clyde (4-5, 2-2)

The playoff-bound Comanche Indians’ bi-district fate is in the air heading into Friday’s regular season finale against Clyde, which is also headed to the postseason.
Comanche could finish as district tri-champions if they defeat Clyde and Jim Ned knocks off Sweetwater. An Indians’ victory and a Sweetwater win would land Comanche as the No. 2 seed. A loss by Comanche could result in the Indians slipping all the way to the fourth seed, if Jim Ned falls to Sweetwater.
The Indians are coming off a 72-6 thrashing of San Angelo TLCA last week as Comanche needed just 243 yards to score nine touchdowns. Ladanian Smith rushed for 60 yards and two touchdowns and Chance Boswell added 54 yards on the ground with two trips to the end zone. CT Buford added a 41-yard rushing touchdown, Zaden Tello finished with 21 yards and a score and Alex Terrell found the end zone on a 10-yard carry.
Through the air, Cayden Davis tossed touchdown passes of 13 yards to Adrian Reyes and 12 yards to Buford.
Defensively, Buford scored both on an interception return and fumble return, while Terrell and Reyes also recorded pick sixes, and JJ Davis intercepted a pass as well. Smith recorded a team-high eight tackles and JJ Davis tallied seven.
Clyde was dealt a 45-6 loss by Jim Ned last week as Bulldogs to watch include RB/LB Josh Hutton, QB/DB Hunter Jones, WR/DB Landon Deal, QB/DB Devan Wright, RB/LB Miles Wisher, WR/LB Clay Deel.

Mason (8-1, 4-0) at San Saba (6-3, 3-1)

The San Saba Armadillos hope to create a three-way tie for the District 14-2A Division II championship and improve on what would be the league’s third playoff seed as they attempt to knock off the No. 7 Mason Punchers Friday night.
Holland foiled San Saba’s plans for a Week 11 showdown for the outright district championship as the Armadillos fell on the road, 44-41, last week.
San Saba finished with 458 total yards, with 447 of those coming on the ground, as quarterback Luke Tharp rushed for 403 yards and six touchdowns and completed 2 of 4 passes for 11 yards – an 8-yarder to Danny English and a 3-yarder to Levi Glover.
Alex Estrada added 24 yards on the ground and Jason Everett and Graden Lebow each ran for 10 yards.
Defensively for San Saba, Glover chalked up 17 tackles trailed by Everett with 15 and Kolton Pierce with 13. The Armadillos did not force a turnover.
The only loss for Mason this year came in Week 1 against Wall, 28-6.
Mason is coming off a 63-17 victory over Johnson City as players to watch for the Punchers include RB/LB Sutten Silierio, QB Carlton Schmidt, RB/LB Clancy Osbourn, and WR/CB Hunter Bradley.

Mart (8-1, 6-0) at Goldthwaite (5-4, 4-2)

The playoff-bound Goldthwaite Eagles will attempt to pull off one of the biggest upsets in the state Friday night and improve upon their current No. 4 seeding out of District 10-2A Division II as they welcome the top-ranked Mart Panthers Friday night.
Goldthwaite chalked up a 49-0 road victory over Meridian last week as the Eagles generated 443 yards of total offense – 282 rushing and 161 passing – while giving up 251 yards – 149 on the ground and 102 through the air. The Eagles finished with a pair of turnovers, but created three takeaways.
Luke Sanderson rushed for 136 yards and two touchdowns and caught five passes for 89 yards and two more trips to the end zone. Aidyn Lee threw for 161 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 47 yards and another score.
Landry Sanderson chalked up 67 yards and a touchdown on the ground and Cayden Koho scored on a 2-yard carry. Zach Rodriguez hauled in a 51-yard reception and Gary Wiedebusch and Casen Wiedebusch caught passes of 16 and 5 yards, respectively, among the other offensive highlights.
Mart’s only loss this season was a 36-34 setback to Class 3A Division I Whitney in Week 2, and the Panthers pounded Frost, 72-8, last week.
The Panthers are led by quarterbacks D’angelo Rhodes (908 passing yards, 14 TDs; 303 rushing yards, 4 TDs) and De’montel Medlock (647 passing yards, 8 TDs; 687 rushing yards, 17 TDs; 14-332, 4 TDs), running back Ah’maad Scott (546 rushing yards, 7 TDs; 20-256, 4 TD receiving), and receivers Damian Davis (18-185, 3 TDs), Ethan Hocking (16-230, 4 TDs) and Landyn Hinton (11-258, 4 TDs).

The Cross Plains Buffaloes’ string of consecutive playoff appearances has ended at 10 as the squad heads into the season finale looking to halt a four-game skid and end the year on a high note.
In last week’s 27-24 loss to Hamilin, the Buffaloes finished with 253 yards – 129 rushing and 124 passing – and committed three turnovers, while giving up 311 yards – 229 on the ground and 82 through the air – with three takeaways.
Tyler Mackey rushed for 64 yards and two touchdowns, caught three passes for 67 yards, and returned an interception 36 yards for a touchdown. Landry Savell added three receptions for 38 yards also had a 36-yard pick six for Cross Plains.
Also for the Buffaloes, Kyle Purvis completed 10 of 22 passes for 124 yards and rushed for 55 yards, while Gray Albrecht caught three passes for 15 yards and rushed for 5 yards.
Defensively, Colt Sanderson led Cross Plains with 12 tackles followed by 10 each from Savell and Bryson Barron, and nine from Jessey Bradford.
Winters is coming off a 55-0 loss to Miles and has been outscored in four district outings 209-6.
Players to watch for the Blizzards include QB/LB Diego Rodriguez, RB/LB Caleb Rutherford, OL/LB Will Dunham, WR/DB Ajay Soto, RB/LB Jorge Malagon, and WR/DB Jonah Whitaker.
